Dear Treadle Community,
As I write, the last full week of August is here. We are enjoying the last days of summer - beautiful weather in a season unlike any other. School starts soon. Not in the way we have come to expect.
Looking back, I am sure none of us thought this would be what our summer looked like. Or that fall would be a continuation of the same.
Through it all, our faithful community of mask sewists just keeps on sewing. Thank you!
Because of your perseverance, we have provided nearly 5000 masks to the community in the last 7 weeks.
As the need continues, we have been asked to help 2 more community mask initiatives:
Bridges to Safety, a Ramsey County domestic violence service.
Keystone Community Services, operating food shelves and youth programs in Ramsey County.
Mask kits will continue to be available at Treadle at no charge for those wishing to sew and donate and we will also collect completed masks for all 4 initiatives:
Cedar Riverside neighborhood through Mixed Blood Theatre
And one more important way to help! Treadle will be collecting school supplies through August 31 for Keystone Community Services.
