Rifle Paper Co. prints

These first two prints (or the same print in different colorways) are both on heavier weight cotton canvas. Perfect for bags, pants, jackets, or anywhere you'd need a little more heft than quilting cotton.

Below you can see more prints in the set, including the delicious rayon on the far right!

Brushed Cotton Prints

These brushed cottons are lighter and more delicate than ordinary flannel, but have all the same fluffy softness. You could use these for sewing up lightweight pajamas, but they'd be especially lovely as shirts or dresses.

With a variety of prints, some whimsical, some more abstract, you'll find one for kids or adults!

Soft, Vintage Moda Prints

This new group from Moda is quietly alluring. The subtle, muted shades give an antique feel to prints featuring small florals, trees, and blocks of handwriting.

You'll currently find these cotton prints in a section with our historic reproduction fabrics.

Moda printed linen

We have a delightful new group of printed linen/cotton fabrics from Moda's Avant Garden collection. These densely-packed florals and mod graphics are printed on natural unbleached linen. The undyed color, with deep warm brown, gives a calm neutral canvas to help blend the saturated bright shades of turquoise, cherry red, lime, and pink.

This fabric is a heavier weight, perfect for bags, purses, and crafts. These prints would make great pillows or upholstery covers! For garments, keep the sewing simple and slightly fitted - think denim styling - to maintain a smooth line and take advantage of the fabric's weight.

We also have several coordinating prints from the group in cotton broadcloth. Come take a look!

S'more Fun!

Moda S’more Fun is a sweet new collection of retro prints with a camping theme. Bedecked with forest creatures, camper trailers, and anthropomorphic sugary treats, this collection is irresistibly fun.

The color scheme features plenty of orange, green, and turquoise for vintage style, and the charming animals and delicious s’mores seem like best pals. Just the thing for a little retro fun in your next quilt, curtains, skirt, or pair of pajamas!

Paint By Number

This kitschy new fabric collection from Moda is inspired by vintage paint-by-number kits. Each print is partially filled in with color, leaving some sections blank, to resemble an in-progress paint-by-number painting. Look closely and you'll see the little numbers!

Love the deer and autumnal trees.

And of course, your paint-by-number project wouldn't be complete without the paint!

At Treadle Yard Goods, we hand pick only the best designer cotton prints. Stop by and see what else is in store!

Cotton Toweling

We just received a fresh supply of printed cotton toweling from Moda. With colorful fruit and stripe designs, this toweling is sure to freshen up your kitchen with vintage charm.  The fabric is 16" wide and hemmed on the edges, so all you need to do is cut it to size, hem the two remaining edges, and it's ready to go!

Of course, towels like these would be lovely with a little embroidery thrown in.  Stitch shading on the cherry panels or add a linear border.  And of course the stripes are ideal for cross-stitch.

These fabrics are soft 100% cotton, so they are definitely functional as well as pretty!

Indigo

I love this small group of fabrics from Moda.

From Moda's Indigo Crossing line, we have two striped fabrics and two with an ikat weave, a process in which the warp is threaded onto a loom and printed with a design before the weft is woven in, producing soft, somewhat blurred motifs with a unique look.

Any of these soft cottons would make a comfy casual shirt or dress.

Oh Deer!

Fresh and exciting at Treadle!  "Oh Deer!" by Moda fabrics.

Featuring birds, dots, and of course, deer, this group has a bright, fresh pop of color, with a warm brown neutral element that grounds the colors and could allow them to blend more easily with other fabrics.  Some of these fabrics are quilt-weight cotton, and some are heavier cotton twill.

The group also includes these whimsical mod prints.

The landscape of trees, flowers, and deer is just delectable.  This would make a wonderful quilt back or a fun, full skirt.

repro-look prints

I love the quiet palette of greeny-grays and subtle reds in this group of fabrics.  I don't think any of them are actual reproductions, but they echo the style and feeling of old 19th century prints.

A few in this group are from Moda, and others, like the keys, are Riley Blake.  These would be great in a quilt with a Civil War style pattern, or a crisp shirtdress with a vintage feel.
