Summer Sewing for Kids and Adults!

KIDS' ADVANCED BEGINNING SEWING & MORE
Play more with your sewing machine.  If you know how to use your sewing machine, you are ready to tackle a pattern.  Whether you just finished beginning sewing or have been sewing longer, Jess will help you choose a project from a pattern that will challenge you, but not make you cry.  From pj bottoms to skirts and dresses, you are the designer!  You choose the pattern that inspires you.  If time allows, a second project may be chosen.

MATCH MADE IN HEAVEN

Well, that may be a lofty goal, but we want to help you solve the puzzle of choosing the right pattern for your body and the best fabric for the pattern (or vice versa if you are starting with a specific fabric).  Class discussion will cover choosing the right pattern size, common fit solutions as they pertain to pattern/fabric choice, our favorite patterns and why, and fabric characteristics and their suitability for specific garments.  Appropriate for beginners (cut down on first timer mistakes) and experienced sewists (we'll focus on current patterns and available fabrics).  We have experience across the spectrum of pattern companies and local fabric stores and would love to help you avoid the mismatches we've made.
Skill Level:  All
Fee:  $30
Instructor:  Material Girls (Debbie & Kristin)
Saturday, 1:30 to 3:30 p.m., June 13
