The
juried exhibition, Redefining, Redesigning Fashion: Designs for
Sustainability, reveals the exciting potential for creative recycling,
repurposing and reclaiming to reshape fashion design in the future.
The
clothing designs featured range from whimsical (a dress from colorful
pop-top tabs) to sophisticated and wearable (a little black dress made from one
piece of cloth with no cutting or waste).
The
opening party is Friday, January 18, from 6-8 p.m. It is FREE
and refreshments will be served! The
exhibition runs through January 19 through May 26, 2013.
There
is a lecture on Thursday, February 21, at 5 p.m. in 33 McNeal
Hall. Sandra Black, sustainable fashion expert from London, will be
speaking. This event is also FREE and refreshments will be served.
Please
consider attending this fabulous exhibition!
