Ladies, you don't have to choose between warmth and style, even during our hard Minnesota winters! This gorgeous, cozy wool coat made by Treadlette Rebecca is the perfect example.
Rebecca used Simplicity 1254 and a double-sided wool, using the solid side for the coat body and the plaid side to face the collar/hood. A brass zipper and leather clasp add a polished touch. In-seam pockets add a sleek detail, and they're easy to sew.
Stop by Treadle and check out our great selection of wool! We are happy to assist you with pattern and fabric advice so you can create a wonderful, warm, winter coat, too!
My friend & I were at Treadle the other day...this coat is so cute. The clasp gives it a unique look.
ReplyDeleteThe coat looks fantastic. Great job.
ReplyDeleteI just muslined this coat. I'm going to use a solid color wool for mine, but I love what Rebecca did with the contrast and buckle! (I might have to steal the idea of using a buckle for the closure from her.)
